Tooth Extractions Dallas

When It’s Time to Remove a Problem Tooth

It is never our desire to extract a natural tooth, which is why Dr. Nadella will consider all other methods of restorative care before recommending removal. However, if a dental crown or root canal treatment is ineffective, the only possible solution is to move forward with tooth extraction. If you are concerned that you might need this type of procedure, call our office to schedule an appointment. We’ll be happy to examine your smile and determine how best to move forward.

When are Tooth Extractions Necessary?

Although they are not commonly recommended, we may find it necessary to remove one or more of your teeth if any of the following occur:

  • Your tooth enamel is severely damaged by decay and cannot be saved with a dental filling or dental crown.
  • You are suffering from advanced gum disease, and it is causing one or more of your teeth to become loose.
  • You need orthodontic treatment to fix overcrowding, but you need space inside your mouth for your teeth to move successfully.
  • Your child has a baby tooth that needs to come out so that the permanent one can erupt without issue.
  • You have sustained a serious dental injury that requires tooth removal to avoid further damage.
